I am a teacher and writer based in Melbourne, Australia, with three published books, the most recent being The State of the Rivers and Streams. There are two other published collections: The Colour of Maps and Lost Things & Other Poems.
My poetry often centres around landscape and the natural world, particularly the coastal zone and the rivers and streams. I’ve lived on the Mornington Peninsula south of Melbourne for many years and the Port Phillip Bay and Western Port Bay seascapes appear often in my work.
This site chronicles some of my writing, my reading and my thinking about writing, as well as some poetry ‘projects’ I’m interested in. I blog regularly on all those things as well.

Above: A new poem of mine is included in Best Australian Poems 2011 (BlackInc) available in all good bookshops now.
